I grew up in the Adirondack Park practically on the Vermont border. Earned a BA from Windham College and an MA from the University Of Wyoming.
Started using my parents Brownie when I was a kid, then an Instamatic in high school. In college my roommie in need of some cash sold me all his camera/darkroom equipment and I was off., spending hours in the darkroom.
I shoot a wide variety of subjects most known for his breathtaking landscapes of the American West and New England.
Over 1000 images have been published/appeared in wide array of publications such as Southwest Art, Sierra, Wyoming Wildlife, Photographer’s Forum’s 1985 and 1992 Best of Photograph annuals, Washington Post(Style section), VermontLife Publications as well as many others.
First magazine cover was in 1982, received a Pacemaker Award from the Wyoming Press Asscociation in 1992 and in 2007 earned a Editors Choice Award from ISP(International Society of Photographers. Disclaimer: not a member of ISP
My images have been exhibited by the Nicalaysen Museum, Wyoming Gallery, Old West Museum, Summit Photographic Gallery and the Trappengallerie in St. Gallon, Switzerland, Just to name a few.
I reside in a beautiful river valley on the eastern slope of the Green Mountains in Vermont.
